How much?  When? Who?  Why?  All good questions... Still no good answers!

How much of our money did David Smith actually have before our assets were frozen by the Turks & Caicos Courts?

God knows. David Smith knows. Perhaps, his wife knows.  We doubt his brother knows... And that exhausts our short-list of people who we believe to be in the know. The authorities think they know, but they themselves admit that they do not know how much they know of what there is to be known.

Having waited for more than two years for closure... all that we are left with is a Plea Bargain. Not even a mad man believes that a Plea Bargain is about truth.  A Plea Bargain is a coerced position, the details of which the publi may never be sure.  If the Prosecutor has all the chips then he does not need a Plea.  If the accused is needed in any way to aid in his own conviction, or to aid in teh conviction of others, usually bigger than himself, then there is the basis for a plea bargain.

We now know that Mr. Smith has enetered into a Plea Bargain arrangement with the United States, and possibly with the Turks and Caicos authorities.  I say "possibly" because we now know that the Plea Bargain entered into with the US authorities was signed prior to the conclusion of Smith's trial in the Turks and Caicos Islands.  So of what can we be sure?  Smith is dirty like hell. But did he put dirt on himself?  Was dirt placed on him? Was he dirtied by association? We still do not have a clear answer to any of these questions because the truth has been shrouded in a Plea Bargain.

The truth is that very few of us care about David Smith? Clearly, he stopped practising the Christian principles that made him successful. Whereas none of us can accurately cast the first stone, we readily concur that there is usually a price for changing course.  However, what we are concerned about is our money, even when redefined as our net deposits in Olint.  I do not know about you, but because of the looming presence of a Plea Bargain, I am still not sure that what we are told is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

However, what I am sure about is "...So help us God!"
